Anjou has several seniors’ residences, and we’re glad to come: to your apartment, or to a common room if you’d rather learn with two or three neighbours. Many of our Anjou students also live in the bungalow they’ve been in for years, sometimes with a basement apartment for one of the children — we come to both, at no extra charge.
What a lesson looks like in Anjou
Anjou doesn’t have a metro station yet — the blue line extension is under construction, not running. In practice that changes nothing for you: your teacher comes by car, parks in your driveway or on the street, and arrives on time. It’s actually simpler than downtown: no permit, no circling the block.
The housing here raises a question you don’t get elsewhere. In a bungalow the internet box is often installed in the basement, near where the cable comes in — and the signal struggles to reach the kitchen or the upstairs bedroom. That’s the most ordinary reason a tablet “stops working” on the upper floor. We check it together during the lesson, and moving the box up one floor is usually enough.

On weekdays, your teacher arrives at the end of the day: lessons generally start at 6 p.m.. On weekends, we come to you between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. — perfect for learning with a clear head, no clock-watching.

There’s no metro in Anjou — does that limit lesson times?
No. Your teacher comes by car, so Anjou hours are the same as everywhere else: weekdays from 5:30 p.m., weekends from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. The easy parking here works in your favour — we arrive when we said we would.
My tablet works in the basement but not upstairs. Is the tablet the problem?
Almost never. In Anjou bungalows the internet box is often in the basement, and the signal doesn’t travel well through a floor. We look at where it’s plugged in, move it up if we can, and show you how to tell “no network” apart from “broken device”. It’s part of the lesson.
